Just some random thoughts that are passing through my head at 1:30 in the morning. I have checking accounts in two banks. It just so happens that these two are some of the most exposed to bad debt among all the banks. Yeah, I'm just that lucky. Or perhaps that's an indication of my bad judgment.
So now that WaMu is bought out by Chase, should I move my paycheck direct deposit from Wachovia to there? Maybe I should move all my money to paypal, haha. Hm... I wonder if they take direct deposit.
I've tried to be financially prudent. I don't have debt; but I probably am not saving and investing as much as I should. It's probably a good time to be more heavily invested in stocks, prices are cheap. Have we reached the bottom, though? Who knows. My 401k is 100% stocks (index funds), so maybe I'm already too heavily invested in stocks.
Too bad I can't afford to buy a house, they're also cheap now. Except the homes *I* want are likely to be way beyond my means.
Oh, and I still have $14 left from the moving expenses Microsoft gave me. I should spend it before it expires on Tuesday. Hm... what can you get for $14?
