There is a person dead from a shooting on campus today. Apparently there is already someone in custody, but the police are still looking for a possible second suspect.

I'm home, and safe; and wasn't on campus when this happened. Just want people to know. This is so weird, I'm so used to Blacksburg being really really safe.

update I just heard on the TV at least 20 people have ben killed; and the gunman is deceased.

It's all over the news here in the US, they're calling it "Massacre at Virginia Tech" and the worst school shooting in US history.

Got up late this morning, when I got your text and your father's call. Grace called home to inform us you're alright. Thank God for keeping you all safe from the mad incident. We're trying to follow up news to figure what really happened. It's all over tv and internet this morning. Take care.

i never imagined something like this could happen at tech.

seriously, take care there. while univs here have ocassional homicides/murders, it hasnt gone to extent as in some schools there.

i heard the news from my wife late last night, she was still figuring out if it was Virginia University. when i gave her the full name, i just had to go online and check on you. Thank God you're okay.
